Red or purple coneflower (Echinacea purpurea L.) is a plant of the daisy family native to North America. The plant was originally used by Native Americans for a wide range of purposes, many of which are no longer relevant. Today, the plant is primarily used to support a normal immune system and the health of the upper respiratory tract. The whole plant: flower, above-ground parts, and roots can be used in various preparations.
Red coneflower can stimulate the body’s natural defenses, especially the white blood cells that consume microorganisms off course. However, the modern understanding of Echinacea’s effect is that it regulates the immune system rather than simply making it work better.
The immune system is an innate, highly complex system that involves both cells and chemical “combatants” that prevent unwanted microorganisms from taking hold in the body.
Echinacea can be used during periods when one is particularly exposed to the influence of microorganisms.

Recommended Daily Dose (Adults and Children aged 11 and above):
Normal dose (up to 8 weeks): 20 drops 3 times daily.
For special needs (up to 1 week): 20 drops up to 6 times daily.
